The Official Website for the Self, Selfe, Selph families of the World
On April, 8, 2000 the third gathering of Self family researchers took place in Gadsden, Alabama at the Western Sizzlin' Steak House. This years attendees came from GA., AL., FL., TX., LA., OK., KS., TN., and CA.
Those in attendance were:
At the first Gathering, we had a throng of 9, and we were pleased. At the second gathering we had 37, and we were well pleased. and this year we peaked out at 67, and we are very pleased.
How many of us benefited, either personally or genealogically, has to be near 100% for all had a good time, and gained a lot of new friends. Some of the group found that forays into the Selflands a little more exciting than they bargained for. The Self family, no matter which branch you are from, is full of really great people. Again, I personally failed to spend enough quality time with everyone this year due to the size of the crowd.
Attendees, please check the list of participants above and the pictures in the album to insure we have included you.
